David Heavener is an accomplished singer, songwriter, filmmaker, distributor, speaker and family man. David is also proud to hold the title of Minster of Music. Having had careers that span three decades, he has conquered the entertainment industry and life his way. He has now added motivational and keynote speaker to his resume as well.

MOTIVATIONAL
He reveals his secrets to success by telling of his trials and tribulations, from hitting the bottom in Nashville to riding the top of the charts and from walking the streets of Hollywood to coasting on the boulevard of sweet success.

At the age of 18, David moved to Nashville to join the world of country music. Before long he was performing with and writing for the likes of Christian recording artist Cristy Lane, Billy “Crash” Craddock and country music legends Marty Robbins and George Jones. While in Nashville, he penned two #1 country hits and a dozen other charting songs.

After conquering Nashville, David was off to Hollywood. After arriving with absolutely no knowledge of the film industry, he now has a 20 plus year career that includes writing, directing, producing and starring in over 30 feature films and guest-starring on television. He also owned and operated a self made multimillion dollar film distribution company and has now built his own film and music studio. He has directed several of Hollywood’s top talents, including Academy Award winner Martin Landau and nominees Tony Curtis, Sally Kirkland and Karen Black. Robert Reed (The Brady Bunch), Margot Kidder (Superman), Marc Singer (Beastmaster) and Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist) are just some of the other celebrities with which he has worked.

INSPIRATIONAL
David is able to use his gift of writing to combine amusing anecdotes and music to entertain, while punctuating his story with lessons learned from both failure and success to inspire and motivate his audience.

As a proud father of six, he is fully aware of the challenges that are plaguing the youth of today and how important it is to help them find faith in themselves and to guide them to their own safe and true paths through life. Raising his children, who range from only a year old to their mid-teens, combined with his experiences of directing actors who have ranged from small children to seniors, he is able to communicate and interact with his audiences on their level no matter what the age group.

EDUCATIONAL
David’s new seminar, “Make Movies That Make Money”, has swept across the U.S. as a no-nonsense method to write, produce and distribute a film or TV project from concept to consumer. This one-day event is a complete course to give filmmakers the tools needed for success.

A book and DVD of this seminar is scheduled to be released in early 2009.
